Key Outcome
AltynGold is one of the largest employers in the Glubokoy district, with 55% of AltynGold’s employees coming from nearby villages. Our operations play a vital role in supporting the regional economy and sustaining livelihoods for hundreds of families across the community.
Communities
At AltynGold, we are proud of our deep-rooted connection to the local communities surrounding the Sekisovskoye mine. Many of our employees are part of multi-generational families who have worked at the site, with fathers, sons, and grandfathers all playing a role in the mine’s development over the years. This legacy reflects not only the importance of mining to the region’s economy but also the strong sense of pride and ownership felt by our workforce.
We take a proactive approach to supporting the region’s long-term development. Each year, AltynGold contributes approximately $20,000 to local governmental entities to fund social development initiatives. These funds support infrastructure improvements, community services, and other local priorities identified in partnership with municipal authorities.
In addition to financial contributions, we actively support local schools and educational initiatives, recognising the importance of investing in the next generation. On national holidays, we provide gifts and sponsor events to bring joy to children and families in our surrounding communities.
Our community engagement is based on mutual respect, ongoing dialogue, and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact. We will continue to strengthen these relationships as part of our broader responsibility to contribute meaningfully to the social fabric of the region.
